We have extensive experience in building rallycross and racing cars, exemplified by our ITCC project Seat Leon FR driven by Grzegorz “Greg” Kalinecki in the Irish Touring Car Championship’s Production Class.

Our owner’s expertise is deeply rooted in many years of motorsport involvement. His longest tenure was with the Lancia Delta Integrale, competing in Polish Rallycross, continuing in Irish Rallycross, and finally in British Retro Rallycross. He has been recognized among the TOP TEN IRISH DRIVERS by Motorsport.ie. Here’s what they said about Greg:

Kalinecki took an unusual route to the ITCC Touring/Production title. To promote his Sportchip.ie

business, he built a SEAT Leon Cupra R and courtesy of a series of different engine maps, was pretty much dominant. The Hondas, in theory, should be cheaper to build, handle better and every bit as quick, but Grzegorz is not a fan of following the conventional route. The Sportchip team arrived at the Leinster Trophy with a new colour scheme and and even had BTCC style fan posters for spectators- a nice touch and one we could do with more of in the paddock. He moves up to the slick shod Super Touring class for 2016 and could be worth an outside bet for title honours.

Grzegorz Kalinecki became the first driver to win consecutive ITCC Production and Touring Class titles back-to-back when he claimed the 2016 Super Touring Class title. In his first season in 2015, driving a Sportchip-built Seat Leon in the Production class, he showed remarkable pace all year round. Then in 2016, driving the Sportchip.ie VW Golf Touring Car, Kalinecki rarely put a foot wrong all season, dominating at the front of the grid throughout the year.

Passion and dedication to cars have always been part of his life. Since 2009, he has been working on road cars in Ireland, fixing them and sharing his expertise in car modifications. Throughout his racing career, he has supported many Irish motorsport drivers of which some are still recommending Greg to new generation motorsport drivers.
